If you read my recent 'Critique by Mickey' you would be treated to my reaction to the recent exhibit at the Penn College Gallery appropriately named 'Geometry' by Mikhail Gubin. I totally enjoyed the show and although the critique was a bit on the late side, I really wanted to talk about it. I posted it last night, finishing it at Duncan Donuts because of my internet being out (Verizon did fix it it a timely manner, thank you very much). Then last night I saw in my email that I had a 'comment' from Mr. Gubin himself! I was shocked! I had just posted it hours before and he was commenting already! Oh Oh! What did I say wrong? Did I offend him? But NO, it was a compliment:
I am very grateful to you for such an interesting and thoughtful analysis.
It gives strength and confidence in the fact that there are still people who can not only watch, but also to see and to feel.
I can't tell you how happy I am that, not only did he read my Critique, commented so quickly, but he thought it favorable. Thank you so much Mikhail, for making my day, and I hope we meet again sometime soon.
