Lina Ferrara Oil Painting Workshop
We are so lucky. Lina Ferrara, oil painter extraordinaire from Lewisburg. She is will to teach a one day workshop at the Pajama for 15 people – max. The cost will be probably 40 to 45 dollars for the day. You bring your own supplies. More supplies suggested later. She is fantastic! and I will add examples of her work below.
“Glow[ing] with color and light”, “passionate appreciation for the bounty of the earth, ethereal, impressionistic, illuminating,” are some of the comments describing Lina Ferrara and her paintings. The use of light and shadow in her still life works draw viewers to see an easily overlooked beauty in common fruits, flowers, and farm animals. The detailed, realistic renderings make one pause to reconsider the splendor of commonplace items. All of these comments underscore Ferrara’s mission as an artist: “to bring joy, embody beauty, spark recognition, and elicit memory using ordinary objects.”
